Ballet Fundamentals

Ballet Fundamentals is offered periodically. This class is designed for true beginning ballet students. Ballet Fundamentals explores the foundations of ballet technique to prepare new students for Beginning Ballet. This is also an excellent class for more experienced ballet students to review and explore the building blocks of ballet technique.

Beginning Ballet Series

Beginning Ballet is offered throughout the year. This class is ideal for dancers newly returning to ballet or students who are just beginning to study ballet. Beginning Ballet explores the foundations of ballet technique in a way that’s designed for adult students. This is an excellent second class option for advanced beginning dancers. All levels are welcome in this class.

Beginning Adult Modern

Offered periodically. Beginning Adult Modern explores the basics of a modern technique with strong influences from Horton modern technique and the Corvino approach to ballet. This is a great class for students of all levels (including new dancers) to explore movement, learn some basic technique, and dance. All levels are welcome in this class.

Composition for Adults

Composition for Adults is designed for adult dance students at all levels who are interested in learning more about the basics of choreography and want a place to create work in a facilitated environment. No choreographic experience is required. Class is structured to work at the level of each student, and the teacher facilitates learning appropriate for each level.

Intermediate and Advanced Adult Dancers

Intermediate Ballet Series

Intermediate Ballet is offered throughout the year. This class is for dancers who have been consistently dancing for at least a year, twice per week. This class expands on the Adult Beginning Ballet class, adding new combinations and increasing technical skills.

Intermediate / Advanced Ballet

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet is offered throughout the year, several times per week. This class is for dancers who have been consistently attending class for two more more years and are  ready for a more advanced level class. Classes build throughout the week, and they focus on strength, flexibility, and expanding longer combinations to challenges the dancers as they grow.

Intermediate / Advanced Modern Jazz

Intermediate/Advanced Modern Jazz is offered throughout the year. This class offers dancers a Horton-based modern approach that is strongly influenced by ballet, traditional jazz, and more. This fast-paced class focuses on building strength, flexibility, and expanding the dancers’ technical ability.

Composition for Adults

Composition for Adults is designed for adult dance students at all levels who are interested in learning more about the basics of choreography and want a place to create work in a facilitated environment.
