Danspace handbook

Please read the Danspace Handbook as part of your registration process.

Class schedule & payment

Danspace’s Adult Division features classes offered by the series (typically 6-8 weeks), performance opportunities and intensives throughout the year.   View our schedule for available class options.  Each series is priced based on the number of classes in the series.

Refund and cancellation policy

Because space is limited, we ask students to sign up and pay for a series of classes. If the class is not a good fit, you can submit a refund request for tuition minus the number of classes you attended (up to 3 classes) at the rate of $20 per class.

Dancers may transfer enrollment to another class as necessary.

If a series has low enrollment, it may be cancelled. In this case, we will offer a refund for the cancelled class or information on transferring enrollment to another class for the series.

Make-up Policy

If you know you will be absent from a class, email info@danspace.com to let us know the date you will be absent and to schedule a make-up class during the series in which the absence occurred. Classes are not transferable to another series. Due to limited in person capacity, make-up classes may not be available on the desired date. We will do our best to accommodate your make-up request. No refunds or credits are given for unused make-up classes during a series.

Summer Program, Performance Opportunities and Intensives

We offer short series sessions during the summer months as part of our Summer Program. Within a series we may offer a special workshop or intensive to our adult students. Registration for these opportunities will be announced on our website and via email to our community.

In collaboration with our Adult composition class, students enrolled in a series may be invited to perform as part of the Composition Class Showing or Matinee Munch Choreographer’s Showcase in the spring.

We offer a Nutcracker Experience to students enrolled in the Children’s, Youth and Adult Divisions. The final product is typically in the form of a film that we share with our students, friends and family. This is an evolving project that varies from year to year. Rehearsals are required and there is a performance fee to participate. We announce the invitation to participate via an email to our registered students.

Cancellation notice must be received by Danspace two weeks prior to the first day of the Intensive (14 days) in order to receive a refund of deposit or tuition.

Bounced checks

We pass on a $35.00 fee for any checks returned by our bank for insufficient funds.
