Registration and Tuition Information

Our school year is divided into 2 semesters:

Fall (September 11, 2023 – January 28, 2024) & Spring (January 29, 2023 – June 2, 2024)

Tuition is due in full by the start of each semester. You may schedule payments. Email to discuss.

Students enrolling after the start of the semester will pay pro-rated tuition and the full amount is due by the first class.

Family Observation Days

We offer two in-studio performance opportunities during the school year, one in the fall semester (Nutcracker Family Observation Day) and one in the spring semester (Spring theme Family Observation Day). Danspace will email you well in advance so that you can plan to attend.

Payment Options

We currently accept payment in the form of a personal check or electronic check from your bank or online with a credit card. If you would like to pay with a credit card, a 4% convenience fee is added to your tuition amount.

If you are submitting a check, please print your child’s full name and class in the memo line and sign the check. Please do not write over the routing/account number or the check will be returned with a request to rewrite the check.

Children’s Division Class Guidelines

Serendipity: age 3.5-5

Pre-Ballet: age 6-8

Ballet 1a/b: age 8-12

Ballet 2 a/b: age 11-14

Ballet 3 a/b: age 12-16

Ballet 4/5: age 14-18

Repertory Ensemble (Ballet 4/5, or by invitation)

Modern 1: age 8-11 (beginning level)

Modern 2: age 10-14 (beginning/intermediate level)

Modern Jazz 4/5: age 13-18 (intermediate/advanced level)

Ballet Technique Requirement By Class Level:

Serendipity & Pre-Ballet: 1x/week

Ballet 1: 1x/week

Ballet 2: 2x/week

Ballet 3: 3x/week

Ballet 4/5: 4-5x/week

You must be a registered student with Danspace to participate in any class.

Registration should be completed by providing Danspace with a Registration Form and tuition for the semester or full year of classes before the first day of class.

Refund Policy

During the school year you have 3 classes to decide if enrollment is suitable. If you decide not to return, you will pay only for the classes your child attended. After the third class, there are No Refunds. Email to request a refund.


We understand that a student may be late to class. For the safety of the dancer, we have set some limits on when it is too late to join in for class. For classes 45 minutes or an hour in length, if you will be more than 10 minutes late it is best to schedule a make-up class. For classes an hour and a half in length, if you will be more than 15 minutes late to class, it is best to schedule a make-up class. Arriving late to class is disruptive for the late student, the class and the instructor. Students in Ballet 1 and up that arrive late will be asked to sit and observe class rather than participate by dancing. This is for the safety of the dancer, to prevent injury from improperly warming up.

Missed Classes

If you know you will be absent from a class, please email to let us know the date(s) you will be absent. Contact the front desk to schedule a make-up class during the semester in which the absence occurred. No make-ups will be scheduled during the final 3 weeks of the spring semester. Classes are not transferable. Three make-ups are permitted per semester.

*** There is no break in classes between the fall and spring semesters. Students continue in their assigned class from September-June. ***

School holidays are posted on our website and you will receive an email each month with any vacation or holiday dates that result in class not being held.

2024 Dance Party Week: Monday, April 29 – Sunday, May 5

Dance parties are small class performances that take place in the studio for family and friends. Classes continue after your dance party, as our semester goes until June 2.

Summer Program 2024: Scheduled in June, July & August. We offer a dance workshop for Ballet 1 through 3 and a Performance Intensive for Ballet 3 through 5. Serendipity & Pre-Ballet may enroll in weekly classes scheduled for July & August. Registration opens January 22, 2024
