Reflections
Evolution of class etiquette for a hybrid dance world
We’re thrilled to be back in the studio — seeing people in three dimensions as both a teacher and a student is incredibly beneficial. As the pandemic persists, we continue to offer virtual class as an option, allow our community to connect from afar and to dance in a way that feels safe. In this new, hybrid world, expectations and etiquette have changed (and continue to change).
At Danspace, we’re asking everyone to arrive ahead of class time (either in-person or on zoom) because we also have to shift our focus as teachers and staff between the screen and the dancers in person. If you arrive late (either in-person or on zoom), we thank you for your patience if we’re delayed in admitting you to zoom or ask you to wait before entering the studio. By arriving 10-15 minutes before class time, we can use all of our class time for dancing.

Late start Serendipity class!
Offered on Tuesday from 4:00-4:45pm or Saturday from 9:15-10:00am. Email info@danspace.com to sign up for the class. We need 5 students for the class to start. Ideal for family pods and close-in-age siblings.
Serendipity is offered for students ages 3.5-5.5. The class is designed to introduce young children to the creativity and artistry of dance. Classes include work on basic motor skills, coordination, flexibility, rhythm, spatial awareness and design.
School Policies adapted for COVID-19 response
We needed to adapt some of our school policies to address the uncertainty of holding classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for understanding. Email info@danspace.com if you have any questions, concerns or circumstances that need to be attended to.
All enrolled students were asked to fill out this form at the start of the semester. If you think you did not get the link to fill out an acknowledgment of our policies, kindly let us know.
Refund Policy: Upon enrollment, you have 3 classes to decide if the class is suitable for your child. If you decide not to continue in the class, you will pay only for the classes your child attended at the rate of $20 per class. Email info@danspace.com to request a refund.
Refund Policy after 3 classes: Due to the unpredictability of the pandemic, we cannot guarantee that your child’s class will be able to meet in person for the full course of the semester. If anything changes and it is not safe to meet in person in the studio, then classes will be moved to Zoom. Classes for all youth, especially ages 3-11, may be shifted to online during the semester if we determine that it is not safe to meet in person. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis for students unable to attend online.
Make-up Policy: If you know you will be absent from a class, email info@danspace.com to let us know the date you will be absent and to schedule a make-up class during the semester in which the absence occurred. Classes are not transferable. Three make-ups are permitted per semester. Make-up classes can always be completed virtually on Zoom. We cannot guarantee that an in-person make-up will be available during the semester and offer a virtual make-up as an alternate option. No refunds or credits are given for unused make-up classes.

Saturday, December 11 from 11:00am-12:30pm
For the safety of our students and instructors, class sizes are still limited to allow for 6 feet distance between each other. We are offering this class to adult students on Zoom so that our enrolled teens can attend the class in person. Thank you for understanding and supporting our safety plan.
If you are interested in attending Beth’s Ballet class on Zoom, email info@danspace.com for payment information and the zoom link.
Dancing with Beth is an educational, energizing, and uplifting experience. Learn from her wisdom and experience as you grow your technique and artistry.
Still time to join Series 1 on zoom!
Click here to see the Fall schedule. Please email by 9am the day of class to give us enough time to send you the zoom information.
As we learned over the last 18 months, dancing on zoom gives us the opportunity to try new things. Dropping into a class you’re curious about or testing the next level up is a great opportunity to explore dance at home.
Drop-ins are only offered virtually at this time.
