The fall semester is in full swing! Classes are off to a great start and are looking forward to more dancing, performing, and growing with you.
Consistency Builds Confidence
In the first few weeks of the semester, students are getting organized, settling into routine, and forming good habits to be prepared for class. Thank you for helping your dancer be prepared by having dance attire all in one place and ready for class.
Helpful tips and tricks for a successful dance experience:
(for dancers in our Children’s, Youth, and Adult Divisions!)
- For our young dancers who have a hard time saying goodbye to their adults: Talking about going to dance class and practicing wearing dance clothes around the house helps your little one get familiar with the routine. Making a plan for where you’ll meet them after class can help with the transition away from their adult into the classroom.
- Arrive early to stretch, get your hair up, get settled, and prepare for class. Consider arriving between 5 to 15 minutes before your class starts, depending on how much time you need to prepare.
- Plan your make-ups before the end of the series/semester. Email us to schedule make-ups and/or for advice about class options.
- Mark your calendars with important class dates, holidays, and rehearsal & performance schedules. Visit our website for Children/Youth Division important dates and Adult Division important dates.
- Designate a dance bag that you bring with you to each dance class. Keep your shoes, hair supplies, water bottle, extra dance clothes, and anything else you need in your bag so you are prepared for class.
