Hip Hop

Ages 8+

Hip Hop dance started in the 1960s as a combination of African and street dance and is set to complex rhythms of music. Hip hop music can bring about political awareness and call out injustices in our community and our planet. We carefully select music for class that promotes positivity. Dancers taking hip hop will learn current trends in movement and musicality and will find that hip hop dance can provide them additional skills in becoming a versatile dancer.
